Embracing Faith-Based Filmmaking: How Actor Dean Cain Ventures Beyond Hollywood to Deliver Impactful Messages!

Superman leaves Hollywood

Dean Cain, renowned for his role as “Superman” in the 1990s, recently revealed that he has departed from Hollywood, citing the need to leave California. Speaking to CBN Digital, Cain explained, “I have my opinions… I’ve seen a lot of debauchery in Hollywood. I’ve been debaucherous myself; I’ve done things that I’m not proud of. I’ve asked forgiveness for those things, and I’ve mended my ways. There’s just so many things about being there.”

The 57-year-old actor now resides in Las Vegas, emphasizing the scarcity of openly expressed Christian faith in Hollywood. Cain expressed his commitment to producing faith-based films, stating, “That’s why I make all of the faith-based films I make because I want those messages out there… I think those movies are really important.”

Highlighting the potential impact of such films, he remarked, “They may affect someone’s life, and they may speak to an experience somebody understands… And if that happens, I’ve done the right thing by making that film.”

Cain also shared that his faith deepened when he became a father to his son, Christopher Dean Cain, who is in his 20s. Reflecting on the responsibility of parenthood, he said, “I started to raise this kid — and I knew he was more important in the world than me… I remember when he learned that he was going to die someday… That’s around the time that I realized, you know, he needs to understand faith and understand why we’re here and have that make sense to him.”

Acknowledging the diverse journeys individuals take in their faith, Cain stated, “We all have our own process… Everybody’s relationship with God is subjective. It’s unique, and the way they get there… is their own journey.”

Closing with a personal note, he added, “And I’ll just say, God and I have a lot more conversations now than we did when I was 25.”
