Faith is a topic that many have struggled with for years. We have all heard the phrase “have faith as a mustard seed” but have you ever wondered what it means? A mustard seed is a tiny, yet powerful thing that can move mountains if planted in the right place.

The King James translation says, for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20)
2. Spend time in prayer every day
Fellowship with the Holy Spirit through prayer, meditation, and worship has the power to give us faith. Prayer is not just about asking for things but it’s also a way of seeking God who can give you what you need even when your prayers aren’t answered. It’s believing in the midst of chaos.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (2 Corinthians 5:17). The more you listen to faith-filled teachings, the more your faith will grow like a mustard seed, and the easier it will be to have faith in difficult situations.

Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
If you have a mustard seed type of faith, it will allow you to have an eternal perspective instead of living in the current situation which is where your worries lie. As we learn from Jesus Himself, seek first the Kingdom of God’s righteousness (Matthew 6:33), then all those things will be added unto you.
The Kingdom of God is available and you have access to it anytime. The Kingdom of heaven is close enough to touch (Matthew 10:7).
Make it your priority to have a Kingdom of God perspective.
6. Forgive those who have sinned against you
Not forgiving someone will hinder our prayers. Forgiveness is a difficult thing to have because it means letting go of anger and resentment.
The Bible tells us, “when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too” (Mark 11:25). We need to let the past be gone so we can have faith as a mustard seed today.
It’s important to have forgiveness in order not to allow our sin and anger to enter us. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you forgive those who have sinned against you, and He will. You’ll see that with His help, it will become much easier.
7. Stay connected to the power source
Jesus is our power source, when we spend time with Him, we allow the power to flow through us by faith. He said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
It is thanks to Jesus in us that we can be fruitful and have the ability to do what’s needed. So, stay connected to Jesus, your power source, and let Him help you reach your full potential.
8. Present every detail of your life
God is interested in every detail of our lives and wants to have a relationship with us. He wants to have His ways become our ways, and so we need to be open with Him about every detail of our lives.
He wants us to succeed in every area, and He will help us if we give him the opportunity.
The more you open up to Him and allow His Word to become part of you by spending time with Him, the more you’ll receive revelation for your daily life, and the more your faith will grow, just like a grain of mustard seed.
