How to exercise your faith in Jesus Christ

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22

The best way to know how to exercise your faith in Jesus Christ is to become a doer of the Word. But what does that mean? How do you become a doer of the Word? It begins with reading the Word. After all, God’s word is where our faith comes from. Through God’s word, we are given every instruction we need to be victorious through Him! By following his instructions, we exercise our Faith and confidence in Him.

If we are not acting on what God’s Word says, do we really have faith? How do we expect to be blessed by the Lord, when we are not obeying His word? How can we expect Him to lead and guide us when He already laid out His instructions and they were recorded for us? We need to know and understand His word so that we can do the things He has said.

If we believe in our heart that what he said will come to pass, and speak it with our mouths, then it will come to pass! How do we speak what our heart believes?  We can’t just say “have Faith” that something good might happen. We have to believe God’s Word. What has he promised you? How many of us know the word for healing or prosperity, but never act on that knowledge? How many of us read his word and then go about acting as if we haven’t heard at all? We seem to want to skip the believing, treating God like a genie in a bottle that may or may not help us.

Faith in Action

If you want to live a life full of faith that’s true, then you have to be willing to take God at His word and put His word into action. Obedience is key. When it looks like all hope is lost, keep speaking His promises over your life. Keep expecting it to manifest. Believers don’t beg for anything from people, or from God. God has promised to be our helper, comforter, guide, provider, and healer. He NEVER lies! Praise Jesus!

In order to exercise your faith in Jesus Christ, you must act on His word. You must believe and speak it at every opportunity. Don’t agree with your current circumstances. Don’t give up! If you want to see the results of a healthy spiritual life, be a doer of God’s word. Remember that “faith without deeds is dead.” (James 2:17). So put what you know into practice and watch your faith grow exponentially with every action taken for Him. Keep moving forward and be encouraged, friend!
